What is a roof coating system?
A roof coating system is a type of protective layer that is applied to the surface of a roof to protect it from the damaging effects of weather and the associated harsh elements, whilst extending the lifespan of the existing tiles. Essentially, roof coatings are designed to waterproof, protect and decorate most types of roofs. Roof coatings contain polymer-based nano-technology properties which are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions and other environmental factors.
What are wall coating systems?
Exterior walls are also considered one of the most important parts of any property, particularly as they act as the main barrier between your interior and the outside elements. Just like roofs, over time walls can become cracked, damaged, and unsightly. Wall coating systems are designed to both protect and decorate a property’s exterior walls. More robust and longer lasting than any type of masonry paint, wall coatings can be applied to brickwork, existing roughcast and various other renders leaving your exterior walls fully restored, protected, and more aesthetically pleasing.
Site Preparation
Prior to any work being commenced, our installations team will complete an individual risk assessment at your property to ensure all work is undertaken both safely and efficiently.
Deep Clean
Using professional pressure-controlled cleaning equipment your roof or walls will be deep cleaned in order to remove all traces of moss, lichen and algae.
Anti-fungal Treatment
Your roof or wall will be fully sanitised with a biodegradable solution to eradicate any traces of moss, lichen and algae and prevent regrowth.
Roof - Repairs
Once the roof surface has been fully cleaned and sanitised, we will realign any misplaced tiles and replace any cracked or broken ones. Flashings will be repaired in addition to ridges and verges being re-pointed where required.
Wall - Repairs
Once the walls have been fully cleaned and sanitised, we will then patch and repair any damaged roughcast areas as agreed.
Roof - Prime
A primer is applied to ensure a strong bond between the roof tiles and the coating.
Wall - masking
The installations team will mask around all windows, doors and conservatories and ensure the surrounding area is covered with protective sheeting.
Coat and Seal
Using specialist graco sprayers,
- the tiles are sprayed with a base coating followed by a second coating in order to fully seal the roof
- the walls are sprayed with a minimum of two coats of our specialist coating in your preferred colour choice
